From time to time you
will see us performing with some of the following excellent accompanists.
Dave Wood
David, from Grindleford in Derbyshire, is regarded as
one of the leading guitarists on the folk scene today due to his innovative,
rhythmical accompaniment style. In 2001 he was invited to play at the
prestigious film premier of the Lord of the Rings alongside other leading
musicians and has been playing at major folk festivals for many years. David
has performed alongside Catriona MacDonald, Claire Mann and Brian Conway, to
name but a few and has toured with well known musician Tom McConville and
singer Bill Jones as well as appearing on several of their albums. In 2001
Dave enrolled in the first year of the new Folk and Traditional music course at
Newcastle University, and has become heavily involved in the new wave of
Traditional music coming out of the Newcastle area.
